How do I deal with unsupportive parents?

You have to show them how serious you are about it, how much you love it. I was just in a production of Peter Pan, the Stiles and Drewe US Premiere and my mom told me one day on the way to rehearsal that she was tired of driving me and I wasn't allowed to do shows until I could do everything and go everywhere myself but I showed her onstage how much I loved doing it and I'm always in my room at the piano playing and practicing, I'm looking into lessons for like EVERYTHING possible and she suddenly realizes this isn't just a phase. You have to let them know how much you love it and tell them that if they don't believe in you how are you supposed to do it? Let them know you NEED their support for this because you plan on pursuing it to to your fullest extent. GOOD LUCK!!!! Trust me, I know what it's like to deal with that... its painful.
