Why the heck are they ending Stargate Universe? It's madness, surely?

low ratings, its actually quite ironic the fans of sg1 and sga who didn't like sgu tried to get it cancelled ad by getting it cancelled they killed the entire franchise, no films or new series ever. I'm very upset but i recently discovered battlestar galactica so that should get me through it.
